Prepositions 介词
Prepositions such as ‘on’, ‘in’, ‘under’ / ‘below’, ‘above’, ‘beside’, ‘outside’, ‘behind’, ‘in front of’ and 'opposite’ are used to show position.
介词如 ‘on’、 ‘in’、 ‘under’ / ‘below’、 ‘above’、 ‘beside’、 ‘outside’、 ‘behind’、 ‘in front of’ 及 ‘opposite’ 用来指示位置。
Examples:
例子:
On 在…上
The ball is on the table. 那球在桌子上。
In 在…里
The ball is in the box. 那球在盒子里面。
Under / Below 在…下面
The ball is under / below the table. 那球在桌子下面。
Above 在…上面
The bulb is above the table. 那电灯泡在桌子上面。
Beside 在…旁边
The ball is beside the box. 那球在盒子旁边。
Outside 在…外面
The ball is outside the box. 那球在盒子外面。
Opposite 在…对面
The hospital is opposite the library. 那家医院在图书馆的对面。
Behind 在…后面
The ball is behind the box. 那球在盒子后面。
In front of 在…前面
The ball is in front of the box. 那球在盒子前面。
The difference between ‘on’ and ‘above’
Look at the following sentences:1. The ball is on the table.
2. The bulb is above the table.
In the first sentence, the ball touches the table.
In the second sentence, the bulb does not touch the table.
‘On’ 与 ‘above’ 的差别
看看以下的句子:
1. The ball is on the table.
2. The bulb is above the table.
在第一个句子里，那球有接触到桌面。
在第二个句子里，那电灯泡没有接触到桌面。
